When our team talks to rights holders about bringing an event to the Hershey Harrisburg Region, we often talk about the dedication our service industry has for maintaining a welcoming and safe environment for our guests. The Covid-19 pandemic brought that dedication into even greater focus as our region's venues, hotels, restaurants, retail outlets, and attractions had to develop new operational structures on a very short timeline. When outdoor events like lacrosse, soccer, and baseball were fielded here this summer, our service industry was prepared with new health and safety standards. Guests were able to relax with a clean, safe stay at our lodging facilities, enjoy meals at our restaurants, and visit world-class attractions like Hersheypark®. It may not all have looked the exactly the same, but to the teams who have been here before and to the rights holders who chose our destination on pre-Covid visits, there was a feeling of familiarity made possible by the tremendous efforts of event personnel, venue staff, and the service industry workforce. Familiarity brings comfort and those positive takeaways are what bring people back to the Hershey Harrisburg Region time and time again.
