Vincenti Elected Pennsylvania Sports Chair
Harrisburg, PA – (July 1, 2025) - Danielle Vincenti STS, Director of Business Development of the Hershey Harrisburg Sports & Events Authority (HHSE), was recently elected to serve as Chair of PA Sports, the lead agency for sports tourism in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Her two-year term began July 1. Vincenti has also served as Secretary and Vice Chair of PA Sports.
Other members of the PA Sports Executive Committee include Vice Chair, Jon Scheuren, Valley Forge Sports, Events & Tourism Authority; Secretary, Maizee Freeman, Discover Lehigh Valley Sports; Treasurer, Eric Engelbarts, Happy Valley Sports & Entertainment Alliance; and Past Chair, Mark Jeanneret, Erie Sports Commission.
“It’s an honor to serve as Chair of PA Sports during such a pivotal time for sports tourism in Pennsylvania,” Vincenti says. “The Commonwealth is preparing to host some of the world’s most prestigious events, and our member destinations are working hard to attract and support these and many other high-caliber sporting events. We have an exceptional team across the state, and I’m excited to work alongside them to showcase Pennsylvania as a premier destination for sporting events,” she continued.
Vincenti assumes the Chair position at one of the most exciting times in Pennsylvania sports history. The Commonwealth will host high impact events like the NFL DraftTM (Pittsburgh), the PGA ChampionshipTM (Aronimink Golf Club), FIFA World CupTM (Philadelphia), and the MLB All-Star GameTM (Philadelphia). As these events coincide with America’s 250th Anniversary celebration, sports tourism across the state stands to benefit from this unprecedented period of world-wide exposure.
Vincenti brings 15 years of experience in destination sales and sports development through her time with HHSE, The Happy Valley Adventure Bureau, Cumberland Valley Visitors Bureau, Richmond Region Tourism and Bryan-College Station TX Convention & Visitors Bureau. She is a certified Sports Tourism Strategist and serves on the Sports ETA Mentoring Committee.
PA Sports works to attract and host international, national, regional and local sporting events, and showcase Pennsylvania as a viable sports event destination for professional, collegiate, interscholastic, amateur, and youth sporting ventures. A robust sports events industry fosters economic development and enriches the quality of life in the Commonwealth, making it a better place to visit, live, work, and play.
The organization consists of 14 of Pennsylvania’s largest destination marketing organizations (DMOs) and sports commissions, offering sports event planners one-stop shopping from a wide range of indoor and outdoor facilities in Pennsylvania that offer easy accessibility, affordability, and leisure time attractions.
