HARRISBURG, PA — The Hershey-Harrisburg region is set to welcome thousands of athletes, coaches, and spectators this weekend as it hosts three premier youth sports events across gymnastics, bowling, and wrestling.
From May 1–4, the New Holland Arena at the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex & Expo Center will be the site of the National Gymnastics Association (NGA) Eastern Regional Zone Championships. This event is a critical qualifier for gymnasts aiming to compete at the NGA Nationals in Virginia Beach this June. Over 800 athletes from across the eastern United States will showcase their skills in a competition known for its emphasis on positive and consistent experiences for participants.
Continuing through June 1, the 86th Annual Pennsylvania State USBC Women’s Bowling Championships will hold competitions this weekend at ABC Lanes North in Harrisburg. This tournament brings together 1,000 female bowlers from across the state, competing in team, doubles, and singles events. The championships are a longstanding tradition, celebrating women's contributions to the sport of bowling in Pennsylvania.
Lastly, from May 2–4, the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex & Expo Center will also host the Ultimate Club Freestyle Duals, one of the nation's premier youth wrestling events. Featuring over 120 teams from more than 25 states, as well as participants from Canada and Puerto Rico, the tournament includes divisions for boys and girls ranging from elementary to high school levels. The event is recognized for its high level of competition and serves as a significant pre-season opportunity for freestyle wrestlers.
