U.S. Figure Skating Eastern Sectional Synchronized Skating Championship (2012, 2014, 2017) -- Approximately 200 teams take the ice in Hershey at Giant CenterSM for this event.
AHL Outdoor Classic (2013, *2018) -- The AHL's winningest (11 Calder Cups) franchise - The Hershey Bears ® - skated against the Wilkes Barre/Scranton Penguins on an outdoor rink set up on the field at Hersheypark® Stadium. The team has announced plans to host the Outdoor Classic again in January 2018 to help celebrate its 80th anniversary.
State Games of America (2013) -- 10,000+ athletes of all ages from 42 states traveled to Hershey and Harrisburg to take part in 30 sports to celebrate the national championships for State Games programs. Harrisburg native and 2008 Summer Games Olympic Silver Hyleas Fountain (Heptathlon) delivered the torch to kick off Opening Ceremonies at Giant CenterSM.
PIAA Championships -- Hershey is home when it comes to a long list of PIAA Championships. Pennsylvania's best athletes in basketball, wrestling, cross country, tennis, soccer, football, competitive spirit and more all look forward to competing for state titles in Hershey, PA.
Mecum Auto Auction (Annually: 2014 - present) -- Mecum's choice to select Harrisburg as its first auction site in the northeastern United States paid off - by the millions. The Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex & Expo Hall transforms into a high-end auction block each summer to produce approximately $20 million in sales each year.
Great American Outdoor Show (Annually: 2014 - present) -- GAOS is the world’s largest outdoor show, with more than 1 million square feet of space dedicated to all things hunting, fishing, camping and shooting sports. Held annually each February at the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex & Expo Center.
